Shaft mounted speed reducers, a new opportunity to increase sales by getting into new markets.
Garth Jones, Manager of Partmaster Industries, advises us that Partmaster has the exclusive rights to market a range of Shaft Mounted Speed Reducers, commonly known as SMSR Gearboxes. These are top quality components built to the same specifications as branded competitive units, but much more reasonably priced. The market for these units is enormous. In the agricultural field they are used in applications such as materials handling systems like conveyors and sorting tables, food processing and dairy plants, tea plantations and vegetable handling operations.
There are countless applications in other fields including the cement, coal, steel and sugar industries.
- The range is available in 12 sizes with maximum torque ratings up to 38,000 Nm at 10 rpm with ratios of 13:1 and 20:1.
- A wide choice of output speeds can be obtained by use of the appropriate input V-belt drive.
- Precision machined and ground helical gears allow the gearboxes to deliver 98% efficiency per reduction stage.
- Direct mounting on the drive shaft does away with the bedplates, couplings and alignment problems associated with foot-mounted gearboxes.
